To give you an idea of the process involved for each frame, we hand select each piece of timber for suitability.
We then rough cut the timber
This is then stacked for special heat treating
This is the process by which we can guarantee sanitised timber. We can use any timber regardless of condition, bugs, insects etc. We treat with heat only – no chemicals. This leaves us able to use all and any timber we choose. Most insects frequent the bark, but this process kills all and every known insect at all stages. So this enables us to keep the bark and make Natural Edge Frames.
Once the timber is heat treated we can then plane and rebate.
Mitre up and join the timber. Once glue has dried they are sanded and then they are ready for polishing.
